Sunday Funnies 6

Sunday Funnies 6

I read this book a while ago but this quote was the one that came to my mind when I first heard about this assignment. I feel that this quote is really motivating and although it was very difficult, and I ran into many problems during the process,  I had a lot of fun illustrating this project.

Sunday Funnies #6: Visualize a Quote

I chose this quote by Socrates for my  Sunday Funnies Assignment because it really made me think. Often times we do not let ourselves try something because we do not think that we are ‘supposed’ to do that. Or, when we do go to something or see something we are left disappointed because we pictured it turning out differently or being different. I chose these photos to portray this quote because the one on the left was of my high school tennis team in 2013 when we were at the semi-finals of our state tournament. We took this photo as a joke and did end up losing the match (the photo and losing have nothing to do with each other). But, the photo on the right is us after we won our regional tournament for the first time in six years. If we don’t think that we can beat a certain team, we don’t but when we do take a risk and don’t have expectations, we are able to accomplish everything.

Sunday Funny #6

For this assignment I chose a quote from C.S Lewis. I chose this quote because I think it describes love from a very different perspective. I also liked the imagery that the author used in this quote. I represented the quote with a collage composed of unrelated images. I tried to create different tones using distinct shades of gray and different font colors. The size of the images in the collage also represent the importance of the sentences they represent (in my opinion, of course).

Sunday Funny 6

Sunday funny 6 Mountain climber

I chose this quote because I wanted to convey that all things are impossible if you don’t even make an attempt in my Sunday Funny.I thought that the progression of climbing a mountain and finally making it to the summit exemplified this idea. If a person doesn’t try to climb the mountain then they will never reach the top.

Sunday Funnies 6

I decided to use a quote from the 2006 movie V for Vandetta. This scene can be found hereI chose this quote because I really thought it used very clever diction to produce a very eloquent and smart speech. I first recorded myself saying this speech using quicktime player, and then uploaded to animoto. I then uploaded photos to go along with the speech. I used the following photos-
