Sunday Funny #6

For this assignment I chose a quote from C.S Lewis. I chose this quote because I think it describes love from a very different perspective. I also liked the imagery that the author used in this quote. I represented the quote with a collage composed of unrelated images. I tried to create different tones using distinct shades of gray and different font colors. The size of the images in the collage also represent the importance of the sentences they represent (in my opinion, of course).

Sunday Funny 6

Sunday funny 6 Mountain climber

I chose this quote because I wanted to convey that all things are impossible if you don’t even make an attempt in my Sunday Funny.I thought that the progression of climbing a mountain and finally making it to the summit exemplified this idea. If a person doesn’t try to climb the mountain then they will never reach the top.

I got this quote from a quote nook on my desk, but I’ll cite it from a  website just in case.

Sunday Funnies 6

I decided to use a quote from the 2006 movie V for Vandetta. This scene can be found here. I chose this quote because I really thought it used very clever diction to produce a very eloquent and smart speech. I first recorded myself saying this speech using quicktime player, and then uploaded to animoto. I then uploaded photos to go along with the speech. I used the following photos-

Sunday Funnies #6

For this week’s Sunday Funnies, I was inspired by a quote by Buddha. I thought that it was an interesting quote in many levels, in that buddhism is a religion in which individuals are to seek out their own salvation, and that it is quite an inspirational saying, especially for those who are always surrounded by competition, and need some kind of motivation – namely college students like me.

For this week’s Sunday Funny, I selected a quote by Jimmy Dean that currently resonates with me, which can be found here. I am at a crossroads about several things and am facing obstacles that I cannot directly control or fix. That being said, my mentality is to move around my impediments and go on. The pictures I chose are not my own and as such, I have included their appropriate citations below.

Sunday Funnies 6: Visualize a Quote

For my Sunday Funnies this week, I used a quote from C.Joybell C. I felt like this quote really allowed me to change the way I think about life. I realized that I don’t need to know where my future takes me, but to instead just live life in the present and take each day one step at a time. This quote really inspired me to just live life to the fullest and to love the uncertainty that comes with it.

Sunday Funnies 6: Visualize a Quote

On September 12, 1962 JFK addressed Rice University about the “space race”. In the speech he talks about the power of the human spirit. He disuses the challenges that the human race have faced and overcome. I tried to represent this same tone in my “Sunday Funny“. I wanted to show the progression of human knowledge and accomplishments.
